Cooler temps inbound riding on the heals of the frontal system making landfall tonight. Expect showers and cooler temps Wednesday.

Despite the recent rains, the northwest is still in dire need of soaking, beneficial rains (see drought monitor slide).

The Cascades remain in extreme drought. Hopefully the coming weekend system can chip away at this.

At this point, any Atmospheric River events would be very beneficial for us in the northwest.
